The inaugural Faster Horses Festival brought three days of country music to Brooklyn, Michigan this past weekend. Those in attendance were amazed by performances from Jason Aldean, Dierks Bentley, Luke Bryan, Jake Owen, Kix Brooks, Chris Young, Florida Georgia Line, Colt Ford, Thompson Square, Jerrod Niemann, David Nail, Thomas Rhett and more!

The festival didn’t just bring country music. Carnival rides, horse shows, a foam party, and even a giant water slide were on the festival grounds. These areas gave people areas to hang out before seeing their favorite artist take the main stage.

Friday saw lines a little slow when gates opened, but fans flocked to the mainstage to get prime location for Dierks Bentley that night. Jake Owen rocked the crowd, despite the limitations of only having one hand due to his go-kart accident earlier this month.

The weather did hold strong, only raining toward the end of Chris Young’s set.

Dierks Bentley finished off the night with new music off his upcoming album, Riser, and commanded the massive crowd during songs like 5-1-5-0.

Fans were ready to go on Saturday right as the doors opened. The energy level was set high early with breakout performances from Brett Eldredge, Drake White, and Colt Ford.

Florida Georgia Line recharged the sun soaked fans, with the one best performances of the weekend. Bikini clad girls sat high on shoulders as the guys completely dominated their set.

The only hiccup to noticeably happen at Faster Horses, came during Thompson Square’s set. During their first song, the stage lost power. Keifer and Shawna grabbed drinks while the crew worked to quickly bring the power back up. The problem was quickly solved.

Luke Bryan exploded on stage with energy and hip rollin’ country music. And if the crowd couldn’t get any more excited, Luke was joined on stage with Thompson Square and Florida Georgia Line for some free styling to end the night.

Sunday marked the final day of the festival and a later start than the previous two days. The crowds were a little bit more subdued at the start, but after two days of hard country partying you can’t blame them. High energy performances on the second stage from Frankie Ballard and the Kari Lynch Band got fans back in the partying mood. And one group of guys, one happened to be Detroit Lions’ Tight End Tony Scheffler, even had Frankie cracking up on stage due to their outfits.

Jason Aldean was focused and ready for the Faster Horses crowd, which seemed to triple in size when he took the stage. Leading the crowd through his array of songs, it was the perfect end to a long weekend of country music.

With the response that Faster Horses Festival got with the crowd and artists, expect it to be back bigger and better next year.
